Mentoring Rooted in Faith

Location: Programs are hosted at local churches, community centers, and schools across Escambia County.
Schedule: Weekly mentoring sessions (individual and group), monthly community service projects, and quarterly workshops or events.
Staffing/Volunteer — Recruitment: Outreach through churches, colleges, and community events.
Screening: Belief system check, background checks, interviews, and reference verification.
Training: Orientation on trauma-informed care, mentorship ethics, youth development, and conflict de-escalation.

The program will launch with an initial cohort of 10 youth in Year 1, with plans to increase enrollment by at least 10 additional youth annually, as resources and capacity grow.
Enrollment form submitted with shared understanding of requirements of Mentors and Mentees — highlighting a key participation mentality: collectively we must have the right mindset.

Mentoring Sessions: Conducted after school hours in safe, accessible environments. Includes sign in rosters, structured curriculum, and free discussion.
Workshops: Cover emotional intelligence, goal setting, conflict resolution, faith development, and leadership.
Family Outreach: Once a Quarter — family oriented activity with the Youth and an Adult Male role model.

All program activities will be guided by biblical principles, particularly focusing on the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22–23 (KJV): "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
These attributes will be incorporated into weekly lessons, mentorship discussions, and leadership development goals.
